Sept profit/ loss sharing #7

Happy Monday and back to work time!

I started to invest in June, and up until Aug, I maintained an almost 50:50 value split between MY and the US market. There are some changes in my thoughts since early Sept, hence my subsequent value re-allocation and stock selection criteria has since changed. I will explain these changes in a future post.

As you can see from the below snapshot (see chart 1), I had a small win in July, which I was excited about as a newbie. What was your reaction. when you first show portfolio growth?

But it went downhill from there as a result of currency devaluation (see chart 2).

Such things are beyond my ability to predict or control. I tell myself it's not a reflection on my poor investing skills to keep myself going. 

Life will always throw us a curve ball every now and then. Sometimes, when you least expect it, we have to be ready to face it. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger,  I hope
