Shares movement on 20 Sep 2024

Wow did any one in the world see the movement of RECT shares - it went to highest of $3.46 during the day. Seems like there are short sellers who are short selling the shares to bring it down. is it jealousy or astute attitude in making small margins in short selling or why cant we wait for RECT shares to go up @ its highest potential then to win margins from long term growth ? please educate me on the mindset of short sellers.
