Shares Rise on Stronger-Than-Expected Revenue
$Salesforce(CRM.US)$ shares rose Wednesday after it said its profit expanded last quarter as it cut costs and leaned into new products that incorporate artificial intelligence.
The company laid off 10% of its workforce and restructured its sales team early this year in a bid to reorient the business that had once focused largely on revenue growth and is now working to maximize profits.
