  • 105286219 : take profit

  • 73372627 : You post here the Diluted cost which do not represent your real win in capital.

Probably you trade options and in this case it is not your win.

If you trade just stock (share) you forgot to reset the accounting after split, so in this case the day before split will be calculated with the split.

Anyways I calculate the reverse in both cases and your real win could be something around 60% win. Which it is not bad.

  • 73372627 105286219 : Is not the real profit.

  • Ruyiii 73372627 : Can I ask what's diluted costs? How come so high?

  • 118062799 : you sure hell lot of money??

  • 73372627 Ruyiii : Here an simply example. Analyzing you see that in reality the cost of the share was 100, but the diluted it is 83.33. Diluted it is just an parameter use to mesure the performances, as are for example the diluted EPS.

Both buy and sell executions change the diluted cost. The profit and loss when you sell the securities will raise or lower the cost of positions and may even make it a negative number.

The average cost of a stock (excluding commissions and fees) uses the purchases made in the account to calculate the average. This it is the real if well calculated by periods. The splits must constitue a new period due to the adjustments.
