$SIA(C6L.SG)$ : If SIA declare $0.34 dividends in June 2024, it's share price will go to $7.45.
If $0.30, then it will go to $6.85.
But unlikely to be above $0.35, or less than $0.30.
If anything above $0.35, that is special bonus for us all.
Estimate forecast and calculation only. I can be wrong.

  • 明 Meng OP 101538332 : I guess the dividend's range is more or less set.

  • 安享晚年 : Singapore Airlines just announced a dividend of $0.38 for August, but why did Singapore Airlines drop even if it didn't rise??

  • 明 Meng OP 安享晚年 : In the 2023/2024 fiscal year, Singapore Airlines' financial performance peaked! This is an incredible achievement in its aviation history.
Financial reporting is very complicated. There are many factors that measure a company's performance. Examples include gross profit, net profit, occupancy ratio, return on equity, year-on-year comparison, quarter-to-quarter comparison, operating costs, oil prices, competitors, etc.
However, if one of the numbers or points does not perform well, analysts will soon notice this and immediately downgrade Singapore Airlines' rating, even if the rest of the measures or points are excellent.
They are also looking for weak future predictions to downgrade their ratings. Or set an unattainable target price and lower it, causing it to plummet rapidly.
Traders or analysts are smart people; they read the same chart as you, they know where the stop loss level is, and when triggered, it will quickly plummet to the next support level. The domino effect.
Singapore Airlines, in particular, has taken a sharp turn in decline, and buying up like a turtle. In particular, the majority shareholders are mostly local retail investors rather than large institutions.
As a result, even if a super-good profit earns its share, it's easy to freefall, and the buying speed is very slow.

  • 明 Meng OP : Sorry for the late reply. I just got back from work.

  • 安享晚年 : When I heard the news that Singapore Airlines had a $0.38 share split, I immediately bought Singapore Airlines $683 and 20,000 shares. I thought it would be a loss, but it fell back. Hope he doesn't fall below $5.

  • 明 Meng OP 安享晚年 : I think many analysts have no interest in buying Singapore Airlines. In fact, the 38-cent dividend is very good and very cost-effective, not to mention that Singapore Airlines' revenue has reached a record high. I also plan to collect it, but it's a few minutes every day, and it's very uncomfortable to read, so I should just upload it.
