Global mpox emergency: Will Singapore be badly affected?
SINGAPORE – People here do not need to worry about an mpox pandemic disrupting daily life.
Experts say that while the World Health Organisation (WHO) did the right thing in declaring this viral disease a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), it will have minimal effect on countries like Singapore.
Mpox is a self-limiting condition, where the vast majority of patients recover fully.
