$SoundHound AI(SOUN.US)$ all of the comments that the business stations are reporting with regard to customer experiences at McDonald's show the level of inaccuracies the number one problem is if you have an accent or you don't speak clearly meaning you speak with some type of slang or ethnic inner City linguistics it gets your order completely wrong.

  • KillingFloorSkip : it's ibm though, not soundhound right?

  • KillingFloorSkip : McDonald's is using IBM , not SoundhoundAI. They are looking for other partners,  which could mean Soundhound or another company gets the contract .

  • 10baggerbamm OP KillingFloorSkip : correct but you have to understand that the tech division that IBM was working to develop the order entry it used to belong to McDonald's it was called McLabs. IBM bought it they thought they had the solution they installed it in 100 corporate and franchise locations over the past 18 months 24 months I think it was. and it's a failure they're done so they're not going to do the solution in house they're going to go find one from somebody else. do I think it's going to be SoundHound I wish it would I don't think it will because SoundHound does not have the ability to install in 100 locations in 6 months let alone 2 years so McDonald's has thousands in the United States. they would need to logistically farm out to somebody else to do installations while they oversaw it and what that would do is it would boost revenue but their margins would get squeezed so ideally they would have to do it in house and they don't have the fulfillment side
