$SoundHound AI (SOUN.US)$ if you look at the news today this is the problem with SoundHound and I said it before Keyvan says we spent 15 years involved in AI before it was AI developing our large language model our proprietary 100 plus patents many pending
yet last year they buy a company that uses chat for restaurant solutions there's a over 40 companies that do this there's no barriers to entry by the way. and now within the automobile industry they don't use their IP that they wasted hundreds of millions on they use chat that speaks volumes how ineffective and how functionally obsolete their large language model really is. and I said last year that chat is evolving so quick with next generations and then there's other competitors to it that sound hound can easily be eliminated in a millisecond by another company because their patents are worthless because they're technology is not their driving force they're using chat which means the value of this company is absurd at the end of the day

  • 74245602 : Very valuable info.

  • 74245602 : Do you have any insights on the AI, imho the chatting part is quite important isn't it?

  • 10baggerbamm OP 74245602 : I don't know if it's valuable it's my opinion I mean I was in SoundHound over a year ago yeah I had a million dollars in it so you understand I had a lot betting on SoundHound for myself and people that I manage money for that are long-term friends and we had common and we had warrants and we made a lot of money I flew down to Texas when they had their dog and pony show in the restaurant industry for their expo and I've been very critical of the company with The insider selling you know here you have what's perceived to be a young company and yet every chance that there's an uptick the Insiders are dumping it's really not what you want to see and I hear the people that justify oh you know they've been in there for so long and they're finally getting their payday yeah we'll leave sold over 100 million dollars and shareholders that made shit at the end of the day.. because they've diluted shareholders now over 200% since they've been traded. what they need to focus on is fulfillment that is their number one problem they need to be able to shock the world and say look we thought it was going to take four years to finish White Castle we did it in a year and we will take on anybody right now with our technology and our ability to install and get you up and running so that you can save money quicker and faster than your competitors. until they do that I'm not buying more I have some left in the company but they need to fix their biggest problem which is it takes them too damn long to install and Keyvan said we're still learning how to install he said that last earnings it's not what you want to hear that's like saying you're still practicing medicine you haven't perfected it right well your technology company you damn straight better have it done right because your competitors are going to eat your ass for lunch

  • 74245602 10baggerbamm OP : Thank you, this is very valuable. This relates to the fundamentals of the company. I need this information, not more technical analysis

  • 10baggerbamm OP 74245602 : presto which is a company that's probably on the verge of going bankrupt they utilize chat and they struggle and they're probably going to reverse split any day and then the stock is going to collapse and I think they're going to be out of business shortly or delisted at the very least. there's many companies and if you do a search there's a lot in California that are doing restaurant installations using chat it's kind of like Linux it's an open source system and I'm not a IT guy there's a lot of smart people on here so you can correct me please feel free to but there's nothing proprietary about chat. and you could have any of the large software companies break into this industry and kill SoundHound overnight they would be dead because they have the resources they have the team they have the knowledge they have the ability to execute. so I would tell you because I'm far from an expert from a technology standpoint I'm better from a business operation as an owner problem solving 36 years in the market owner of a broker dealer a lot of seat time a lot of Battle scars that's my expertise. I would tell you to do a search and you'll be amazed how many companies use chat for restaurant order entry worldwide there's a shitload of them and every day there's somebody new

  • 10baggerbamm OP 74245602 : this industry is very young AI is very young and I will tell you that one of the mistakes I made in 98. and 99 was I didn't leave profits in a lot of the companies only a couple. I don't know if soundhound's going to get their act together and turn into an 800 lb gorilla or they're going to go bankrupt I've been in better companies that have gone bankrupt delisted out of business one was called Princeton video I believed in their technology wholeheartedly and then a competitor came in destroyed them clean patent infringement and put them out of business in that company Princeton video every NFL game every baseball game where you see graphics overlaid on the field for first down lines and where the ball went things like that that was their technology and I thought shit this company is going to be a giant and they're out of business so I don't know if SoundHound is going to go the way the dodo bird become the next Microsoft or just be a run-of-the-mill company whose stock does nothing like Ford. but I'm willing to leave money in the company in hopes that they fix what I see what is wrong with them and turn into a profitable business

  • 74245602 10baggerbamm OP : My thought is that, since the rate cut is just an issue of when, and they just announced that someone was willing to buy their product, I don't think it's going to die that easy now. But just like what you said, the news and how investors thought might push the stock price high, but it doesn't mean that the company is doing absolutely fantastic. Hope this is another NVDA. We never know! NVDA was completely fucked after their NV1 card, they got only 6 fking months left back then. We never knows, we never know

  • 10baggerbamm OP 74245602 : well they're not another Nvidia because they have nothing that is proprietary and there's little to no barriers to entry that's what you need to understand there's dozens and dozens of companies they do restaurant order solutions. and I know they've got their fancy three tier approach and I was enamored by this initially because Jeff bezos had a very similar approach and I think that's what the CEO of SoundHound did is just mirrored success and go oh I'm going to come up with this pitch and people are going to buy it. it's definitely not another Nvidia it's not I mean I'll guarantee it's not another Nvidia and it's real simple there's many companies that have automotive solutions right where you can speak to your car and it responds and it's only going to get better and some do in-house some are going out of house yeah it's nice to stelantis pickes SoundHound but Honda Mercedes drop them. Toyota is not doing any thing with them so the automotive side there's no revenue coming from it they're basically giving their technology away everything becomes back and loaded they still have to try to figure out how the hell they're going to monetize it. same with the restaurant business they're basically giving away the installations and then it's a gradual source of revenue coming into them but it's very small. so I don't think they're cash flow business model is the right one. I think you get the money up front and then you provide support along the way. anytime in business when you give something away you really demean the value you lower the value. and I know the whole Gillette model so everybody understands.. give the handle away sell the blades I get it.

  • 74245602 10baggerbamm OP : Thanks for the input

  • 10baggerbamm OP 74245602 : another point of fact SoundHound will not benefit in any way shape or form from interest rates going down. running in the longer term 6 months ago a year ago when they were carrying over $100 million dollars at 12 and a half percent interest on the books absolutely a lower rate which means they could refinance that at some point and save several million dollars. but understand that let's suppose it's a quarter percent September a quarter percent December a quarter percent February a quarter percent May that's only 100 basis points 1%, we went up over 500 basis points so a 1% reduction to the small cap companies that are carrying debt really isn't going to do much for them to refinance that debt. for those that own a house or several there's a lot of rich people on this forum , if you have a mortgage when you buy a house and you don't write a check right now you're probably around 7.25  for 30 years when prime gets cut to say 6 and 3/4 Banks determine their rates for loans obviously based off a credit equity collateral ability to pay all that happy horseshit but it's prime plus that the determines ultimately wear the best rates would be for 30-year loan so if it goes down a quarter point you're not going to refinance from 7.0 you'll refinance maybe at 6.25 100 basis points less.  so understand that I'm telling you now when we do get a rate cut it shifts a trend but it doesn't solve problems for small cap companies and you will start to hear these bobbleheads on TV say what I'm telling you now that a quarter point doesn't do shit we need to see at least 100 basis points or 150 or 200 basis points in order to make a difference for the Russell.
