SP500 MACD

$S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ I was just starting to learn how to use technical indicators to look at some stock trends, and I suddenly discovered that the SP500 1-hour indicator seemed to have divergent characteristics.
Despite a correction on the 22nd, it rose higher on the 23rd, and the two MACD peaks that night were significantly lower than the 21st.
Can someone tell me if such a divergence works? thanks
