One strategy that I use, fairly often now, is to speculate on small cap companies using inexpensive call options. This worked out very well on ASTS and with a few other tickers. As the buyer, I try to long volatility or choose contracts that are out of favor and therefore have lower premiums (not simply due to share price.) I always buy some time for my bullish thesis to play out. As an example, today I am buying January 17 2025 5.5 calls on$Archer Aviation (ACHR.US)$
which allows me to “control” shares at $.15-.25 each, far less capital than to purchase them outright. My goal is to close out the trade on a gain, not to exercise. Hopefully I will be posting a profit in the coming days.
