Starting to see how day trading can fall into the trap of gambling addiction with short selling!

Let's see if I can manage to avoid losing it all and then some next week!
After relying on just gut feeling to dump heavy into Netflix before the earnings and go to sleep.....while setting to the limit orders to sell between 720 and 730, definitely felt a bit dense
Thought I would have my revenge by shorting the peak! I've never put enough of my assets into trading to short sell (in the US, you need to maintain at least $2000 in value I think).  The revenge plot didn't work out so well.
Using volatility rather than revenge worked better as a predictor I would just watch for spikes in the 5 minute movers, short the peak if I caught it, and then set a modest gain closing order to be out by end of market hours.
That wasn't foolproof with the paper trading system since it has to reflect real orders placed, but it definitely made it much more "gamified" than someone without a million to use as fun money would see as responsible
Fun though! Also cool to see I could break into the top 200 for a little bit.
Good luck out there! You can be an evil shorter with fake money! 😉
