  • Brubs : Wow going to risk 30% on this? What is your thought process here?

  • 1-percent OP Brubs : A small account that flip 3x, even when losing a 30%, I'm still trading on free money.

What's your thought process of asking this? Hope you can share your opinions on your risk management.

  • Brubs 1-percent OP : Free money? You mean paper trading? If so that's fine to try I just wouldn't recommend that with real money, especially on this stock. (I had one sitting at -20% today but I was very confident and have a proven, sound "strategy". Currently at -3.6%) I say that because I do not believe in the company, and the people buying simply want to push the price as high as possible. As for risk management, I think the simplest answer is the best - diverify. Also do solid research and understand as much as possible to get the right stocks before making calls.

  • 1-percent OP Brubs : Thanks for sharing.

I think you didn't read carefully. I flipped my small deposit 3x. Even a 30% loss is just part of my profit, and I'm still on 2x my startup.

I'm just using my small deposit to snowball.

If I'm going to follow low risk management, I will still use my POEM or Vickers account for long term investment with no leverage which are holding real ownership of my shares.

  • 1-percent OP Brubs : Not sure about your entry price. If you do not believe in the company, you shouldn't have sit for -20%. But if you believe in this stock, -20% is of no meaning for you if you can hold it till it rise. So it's all up to your conviction.

The market will always move up or down. Losses are part of trading. There's no 100% in trading as no one can predict the exact future.

  • Brubs 1-percent OP : Ah gotcha. That's just not the way I think, money is money, profit isn't free money to me. No problem, best of luck!

  • Brubs 1-percent OP : Wasn't this stock, WVE actually. Should probably clarify I'm shorting as well.

Just started here on US stocks 2 months ago. Hopefully my past experience in FX can help grow my US stock portfolio.
