_MK_Watcher_ : For this share buyback exercise, price is not a primary consideration when buying them back, as they are cancelling them off immediately. This is to allow lesser floating shares in the market, preparing for 'consolidation' exercise (if any) in 2025.
104389782 : DBS said stock buy back is to reward shareholders. looking at their foray into crytocurrencies recently and that bitcoins are skyrocketing , it just means that DBS has more money to buy back the shares. As for the timing, I believe buybavk guy looks at macroeconomics and geopolitics. This means external events are somewhat predicatable to an extent.
