Sydney foreign exchange and bond market = fall in Australian dollar/NZ dollar, response to Trump shooting and Chinese indicators
July 15, 2024 4:14 PM GMT+9 (some excerpts)
The Australian dollar and the New Zealand (NZ) dollar fell in the Oceania foreign exchange market. In response to the shooting incident of former US President Trump, the US dollar rose from the view that the possibility that he would win the presidential election increased. The fact that China's economic indicators were weak was also not a source of support.
The Australian dollar is 0.1% lower than 1 Australian dollar = 0.6772 US dollars, and the NZ dollar is 0.3% lower 1 NZ dollar = 0.6098 US dollars.
