151403908 : how many days out put options do you generally go for?
10baggerbamm OP 151403908 : so typically I'll do Monday for Friday or I'll do the Friday for the following Friday depending upon where the support line is of the underlying company that I'm interested in because on Saturday Sunday you get a decay of the option so if you wait till the following Monday if you think about it you have 7 days in a week options don't just decay during Monday through Friday they do it over 7 days..so if you sell puts on a Friday at like 3:59 just before expiration on a company that you go you know what I don't have a problem owning and it's below the current price then come Monday you could close out that contract to make money because you had two days that it decayed
