Teledoc Health Tumbles More Than 10% After Taking $790 Million Q2 Goodwill-Impairment Charge
$Teladoc Health (TDOC.US)$ sank more than 10% Wednesday in after-hours action after the telemedicine platform reported a big Q2 loss due to a $790 million goodwill-impairment charge.
TDOC shed 13.2% to trade at $8.19 at 4:30 p.m. ET after the company said it lost $837.7 million, or $4.92 per share, after taking into account the $4.64-per-share impairment charge and other one-time items.

Excluding the one-time charges, Teledoc lost about $0.28 per share.
The latest red ink came on $642.4 million of revenues, which trailed the $649.3 million that analysts’ consensus estimate called for, as well as the $652.4 million that TDOC recorded a year ago.
