$TENCENT (00700.HK)$ disclosed in a statement that on 22 August, it repurchased 2.67 million shares on the Stock Exchange at a price of $371.2-$377.8 per share, involving a total amount of about $1 billion.

Since the passing of the ordinary resolution, a total of 114.97 million shares have been repurchased, representing 1.22055% of the company's share capital.
