TENCENT Repurchases Shrs in $37.5B in 2Q, Up 1.5x QoQ
$TENCENT(00700.HK$ repurchased shares in a total of $52.3 billion in the first half of the year, exceeding its total repurchase amount of $49.4 billion for the full year of 2023, according to information disclosed by the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
In the second quarter alone, the amount of repurchases reached $37.5 billion, double the $14.8 billion in the first quarter. The average daily repurchase amount in the second quarter was $987 million, marking a record high for the same period.
