Software Updates to Begin June 18th - Recall Report
It occurs more often in China than in Europe and America, and is estimated to be defective in 1% of cars subject to recall. The US electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Tesla updated software for 1.85 million units in the United States in order to prevent problems where the hood opens while driving.
According to the recall report posted on the U.S. Department of Transportation Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website on the 30th, Tesla detected whether the hood was open and began wirelessly updating software to notify customers from 6/18. The target is the “Model S,” “Model X,” “Model 3,” and “Model Y,” which were produced from January 2020 to this month.
