NEWS: Tesla China has officially announced the launch of Actually Smart Summon (ASS) in China.
CNEV Post:
Tesla has launched the ASS feature in China and started offering 90 days of free EAP access to customers who purchase its vehicles through trade-ins. Tesla ASS feature is also available in the US, Europe and the Middle East.
Notably, the feature is part of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) and Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) software, meaning it's not available to owners with the free Basic Autopilot (BAP) software.
The company sold 73,490 vehicles in China in November, its highest month this year, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). In the January-November period, Tesla's retail sales in China were 574,175 vehicles, up 8.77 percent year-on-year. My Take:
It is not important who started to roll out the ASS feature but more importantly which one is more efficient and reliable. Another significance of the ASS roll out is EV sales may increase further and it is a step closer to introduce Tesla FSD (or Robotaxi ) in China.
