Tesla shortlisted for government procurement
Recently, according to the “Jiangsu Provincial Party and Government Organs, Institutions and Organizations 2024-2025 NEV Framework Agreement Procurement Shortlisted Notice (3)” disclosed by the Jiangsu Government Procurement Network, the Tesla Model Y rear-wheel drive version entered the Jiangsu Provincial Government's NEV procurement catalogue, with a price of 249,900 yuan.
On July 4, the contact person in charge of the project at the Jiangsu Provincial Government Procurement Center confirmed to Red Star News that Tesla was shortlisted in the relevant procurement catalogue. “Currently, we don't actually have an official document on our side that says (Tesla) is prohibited from entering.” The contact said that in terms of shortlisted requirements, as long as car companies meet certain price and configuration requirements, they can be shortlisted. At the same time, it was emphasized that the content of the announcement was only shortlisted; whether future purchases will be made will also depend on users' choices.
