The Bible makes it clear that our trials were carefully arranged by God. It was God who made Israel endure hunger and thirst—even though he kept his promise and miraculously fed his people. Job 22:15 He sent the quails and fed them with the food from heaven. He opened the rock, and water gushed out... because he remembered his Word” (Psalm 105:40-42).

The Father brought the Israelites to terrible tests to believe in his Word for a special purpose. why? Because God is bringing them to a place where they need to fully trust God's promises.

How many Christians have experienced God's salvation yet been brought to a place of severe testing? The truth is that all true beliefs are born out of suffering and cannot be taken away from us in any other way. When we turn to God's word in our trials — choosing life or death based on His promises to us — the result is faith! Faith continued to grow until the Lord's people had evidence saying, “Our God is faithful.”

Without confidence, it is impossible to please God. You might object,” but all you've said so far is the Old Testament. We live in days of grace. Remember God's words in the Hebrews: “To whom did God swear not to let them enter his rest? Isn't it for those who don't listen?” So we can see that they can't go in because they don't believe... Brothers, you have to be careful; I'm afraid someone among you is disgusted and has abandoned the living God.

Whenever our faith gets discouraged, we must train ourselves to remember everything God has led us through. We must remember the miracles he provided during our difficult times and rejoice in what he did.

Haven't I commanded you? You have to be strong and bold. Do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed; for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Choose to trust your Heavenly Father today!
