EscapeGoat OG : these kind of buys almost always lose, because it's so far out of the money and time decay eats away at the value. is best to sell the put at those levels of you want to make money on puts is better to buy at the money first thing in the morning when it's going slightly up then ride the wave down.

Nisdey Cat army OP : it's in the mid tens of thousands of dollars for this stock if that's what you mean by a "lot of money". This is because options are sold for 100nshares, and on this platform you're required to lock away enough money for if the option is exercised.

EscapeGoat OG Cat army OP : not as much if you use credit spreads. there are many factors to consider when trading options, like expiration date, volatility, probability of profit etc. if your new to options is best of you learn more about them before losing your money just buying without direction or a plan. there are plenty of educational videos on you tube that can teach you how year options. this platform has options education as well.
Nisdey Cat army OP : You may be forgetting that you keep the credit. so if you want to "buy the dip" and you're happy with guessing "near enough" then you're being paid either for nothing, or to buy low.

Cat army OP EscapeGoat OG : Thanks! I just checked on moomoo and it requires me to have level 4 with 10,000 dollars in equity. That's still a lot of money for me now
EscapeGoat OG Cat army OP : yes I get it, it's hard but not impossible. I started with just 2500 back in 2021 and my account had grown over time this year was fantastic for me and closed with gains of 112% for overall portfolio. in the meantime is best if you take the time to learn proper options strategy and slowly build it up. there's a guy on you tube named investing with Henry I learned so much from him and his strategies and it is all free, check him out and hopefully you too can become a pro someday, I believe you can do it if I did it anyone else can.
