you have to understand that the past week liquidity has been severely restricted you have enormous swings in the market on very low volume like 50% to 70% less volume so you have an absence of buyers you have tax law selling you have short sellers capitalizing the hedge funds the institutions that collude and work with the market makers the specialists to step away from the bids to tell them look I'm shorting a half a million shares walk away they'll collapse the market they make millions of dollars in the process retail gets fucked that's what happens. so to buy puts now Tesla was already 480 it's down dramatically in a week and a half two weeks you're late to the game. president Trump is inaugurated January 20th and then everything changes because you've never had a CEO so close to the president in the history of the world so if you think you're going to short Tesla and make a profit come January 20th you might as well drive down the road roll your window down and throw your money out

10baggerbamm OP modest Narwhal_1005 : so then why not sell puts yourself directly you can take a 2X bull leverage ETF tsll and sell puts yourself you need to pay someone a fee to do that tsll is a bull 2x ETF you can do weekly expirations I sell puts all the time last year I probably sold 250 times puts, different strike prices below the current price on that leverage ETF.. and I sell anywhere from 50 to 100 or 200 contracts at a time.

The management fee is about the same. I understand that you are doing better selling your own puts but I don't know if the same applies for me so I'm looking into this passive income leverage stuff that graniteshares is about to release.
