$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ I'm at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut at the Tesla store looking at a foundation series cybertruck. it looks really cool from a distance however there's a lot of serious flaws that are to me a deal breaker. the Gap distance very significantly on the body panels you feel them they're a millimeter to 2 mm off and the finish on the stainless steel you can feel the roughness and I took pictures to show you. it reminds me more of a 1970s GM vehicle than anything close to what Lexus produces today for example

10baggerbamm OP : and what's with the fucking rust on the axles they need to be powder coated this is like the attention to detail that to me is a big problem I would never have expected this with Tesla
10baggerbamm OP : it looks amazing it draws you in like a moth to a bright light but the Gap distance is to me a problem and I would have never expected this from Elon Musk..he said it was very difficult with Tesla trucks the Cyber truck to get the gaps correct and that was a delay it's still not right. if you go to any Lexus showroom and look at any other vehicles regardless of price the gaps are within microns of a distance apart from left to right as well as north to south elevation with the Cyber truck you can feel about a millimeter to two distance between flush surfaces when you run your hand I'm disappointed because Elon Musk to me is a perfectionist and I find it very difficult to believe that he would release something like this that's not at the perfection level

特斯拉小新 : The first one is so perfect, the second one can't be a problem
10baggerbamm OP : the Japanese have a word it's called kaizan it means the pursuit of perfection. Honda ,Toyota have adopted this as the driving force behind their companies endeavor. I'm a shareholder I and millions of other people admire Elon Musk as one in a century type of a visionary , however the Cyber truck has a long way to go when it comes to perfection in refinement of gaps finish of the stainless steel. most people probably wouldn't pick up on it but I am an attention to details whore. I see the finest details that are not right in everything.
10baggerbamm OP 10baggerbamm OP : a long time ago my neighbor had a DeLorean and I will tell you from my own first-hand experience that the distance of the gaps on delorean from a horizontal and vertical distance were superior to the Cyber truck. not to mention I never saw a grind mark on any of the edges of the steel on a DeLorean
10baggerbamm OP 10baggerbamm OP : and so you know the first picture is the left rear wheel the second picture is the left front wheel and the right side were exactly the same.
10baggerbamm OP 10baggerbamm OP : that's the interior left door panel the little red piping is illuminated it's pretty cool. this vehicle has probably had a thousand people just today s open the door touch the body on the outside the interior and you could see the white on the inside door panel has dirt from people's fingers on it. to me it's not a big deal because you're never going to have this much contact on your vehicle as compared if you were to own it. a thousand++random strangers walking and sitting inside of it and they've got a milkshake in their hands and they just had french fries next door Johnny rockets and there's grease on their fingers that type of thing. all that said you could see it getting dirty but I would discount that because again the average owner will never have this lack of regard to the vehicle as just random people walking in sitting in it and touching it
ひな☆彡 SOXL : The car doesn't look good to me… but it's just personal taste.
