WeWork’s story is wild. At one point, it was worth $47 billion, but now it’s down to $1.58 million—a huge drop. A lot of that downfall came from leadership issues, overspending, and then the shift to remote work, which made its office-sharing model much less relevant.

However, Tesla has been giving a lot of lofty goals and over-promises. At the We, Robot event engineers are blatantly lying to guests that the Optimus robots runs on AI, and the LLMs powering them run on-device?? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know it is a lie! Plus, the Robovan will NEVER, EVER, be street legal. The Robotaxis have ways to go, with Waymo already pioneering the autonomous ride-hailing dream, Tesla COULD possibly get there, but their FSD is no where near Level 5 autonomy and they are still adamant about not using Lidar. With competition heating up in the electric vehicle space and Tesla having to cut prices, their profit margins are shrinking. It feels like they’re in a bubble that could burst if demand slows or competitors catch up.
It’s a bit like WeWork: overhype can quickly lead to trouble. This stock should be worth less than $180 a piece. Current PE ratio is 94, which is just ludicrous!! The majority of the stock is owned by retail investors, so please, please don’t be part of the majority holding the bag when it fails and falls.
