Rumpole : Beer business quite bad in VN, which is a major TB market, because of serious clampdown on drink driving (0% alcohol limit). Heineken closed a plant there recently because of depressed demand. There is plan to imposed excise tax hike to 80% by 2026 and 100% by 2030, from 65% now. Outlook doesn’t seem too promising for beer (so the IPO is a bit doubtful to me).
This F&N share swap is good for TB. The dairy earnings, especially from Vinamilk, will propel TB’s growth.
