$Planet Fitness (PLNT.US)$ the commentary from the company this morning is consumers are not spending their changing their habits.. I go to planet fitness 7 days a week I've been going there for 15 years. I know the regional managers the area managers gym managers and I've had discussions with most over the years. they have no closing skills whatsoever they have terrible presentation skills there's really only two products to sell at planet fitness a basic membership and a black card membership that's it. I have watched first hand hundreds of presentations done by managers area managers as well as staff members to potential customers and when I tell you that it's horrible none of these people I would have hired for my companies. I recognize they have a very young staff and truthfully most of them don't give a shit it's just a job to make money and the less work they do the better for them. I've talked a Great lengths to the regional manager and I explained my observations of how the closing ratio should be high 90s for every person for a black card if they knew how to sell effectively. I explained the approaching system that I use for my companies and how it's easily transferable over to planet fitness. one would think that a area and regional manager would relay information on how to increase profits to the ultimate decision makers running the company but it never happened.. so now you see this continual failure in execution by planet fitness oh well so be it. as they say you can take a horse to water but you can't make them drink
