The dollar traded high at 3:00 p.m., to the middle of 161 yen, and the yen fell widely

July 10, 2024 at 3:41 PM GMT+9 (some excerpts)
The dollar/yen at 3 p.m., has been traded in the middle of 161 yen, with a slight depreciation of the yen since the end of the New York market the day before. The risk-on mood intensified, as the Nikkei Average hit an all-time high, and yen depreciated widely, including against anything other than the dollar.
The dollar temporarily rose from the first half of 161 yen in the morning to 161.59 yen, and hit a high for the first time in a week. The Nikkei Average rose above 300 yen, and it is said that “the risk-on depreciation of the yen gained momentum under high stock conditions” (foreign bank officials).
