Views 1M Contents 138

The fast four stocks to watch: Nvidia, Tesla, Newmont, Treasury Wine Estates

Nvidia $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ shares hit a record high of $974 before pulled back on profit taking, but options (calls) are still in the market for NVDA to get back above $900 given its corporate profits are expected increase next quarter with the roll out of its more expensive AI chip (H200) that has already been backordered ordered by Microsoft, Meta, Oracle etc. As for other catalyst that could push Nvidia shares back up this week, Oracle’s outlook and its move to the cloud, from legacy software could also bode well for Nvidia. Oracle reports third quarter results Monday. Oracle account for ~2% of Nvidia’s revenue. And later this week, talk will increase of Nvidia's global artificial intelligen ceconference that unites developers, engineers, researchers, inventors, and IT professionals. AI talk and hype will be stirring, especially ahead of CEO Jensen Huang's keynoteMarch 18.
Tesla's $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ shares are now down 40% from their 2023 highs and bets are rising for Tesla to slowly rebound and options pricing suggests they could slowly rebound too. But not to their record highs. For more watch our 1.3 min video.
Gold giant, Newmont $Newmont (NEM.US)$ $Newmont Corp (NEM.AU)$ shares have risen 15% off their 5-year low, ahead of the new gold cycle being ushered in. This has caught some off-guard and there is room for further upside, bolstered by expectations that the Federal Reserve will soon cut interest rates. Investors usually start buying bullion ahead of a rate-cutting cycle as inflation-adjusted rates will drop. And this benefits the precious metal as it pays no interest.Remember how I spoke about gold ripping higher the last three times the Fed has cut interest rates?
It's interesting to see gold ETF investors are largely on the sidelines, but gold futures interest is coming off its structural low. This could suggest this gold stocks are undervalued and this is an investment opportunity. So it's worth watching gold stocks.
The fast four stocks to watch: Nvidia, Tesla, Newmont, Treasury Wine Estates
Treasury Wine Estates $Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (TWE.AU)$ shares have moved up 22% off their lows as US sales are starting to slowly pick up. But the big game changer could be around the corner. Optimism is in the air that that China could scrap the Australian wine tariff, with a decision expected to be announced later this month. For long term shareholders, it will be epic if China scraps the tariff, as the 169% tariff has been in place since 2020. It's also worthwhile to note that TWE has a rosy outlook as its top line stable of wines is seeing greater sales, plus it's likely to benefit from Australia's wine production dropping to a 60-year low this year. I spoke about this on a recent Ausbiz TV appearance..
