The global semiconductor equipment market is expected to reach a record high in 2024 and 2025.

SEMI, an international organization for semiconductors, has announced a forecast that the sales of global semiconductor manufacturing equipment in 2024 will reach a record high of $109 billion, an increase of 3.4% compared to the previous year (approximately 16.65 trillion yen). The global market for semiconductor manufacturing equipment is expected to continue to grow, reaching a scale of $128 billion (approximately 19.55 trillion yen) in 2025, surpassing the previous record.
Ajit Manocha, President and CEO of SEMI, stated that the current expansion of the semiconductor manufacturing equipment market will lead to strong growth of about 17% in 2025. The global semiconductor industry is demonstrating a strong foundation and growth potential, supporting a wide range of innovative applications generated by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
