The man is really, really old. Maybe he's enjoying life a bit and settling his assets and plans for his future successors.... I'm sure he is soon heading into his own new life transformations, and he may want some extra cash on hand to make those transitions as smooth as possible. Last time I checked, elder and end of life care in America is.... very expensive, especially if you are already rich.
