The speed of asset inflation in the USA is extremely terrifying!
The total assets of the top 1% of people in the USA have grown four times in the past 20 years.
In 2004, about 10 trillion dollars. In 2023, it is approximately 43 trillion dollars.
The inflation speed of individual assets is astonishing. For example, the S&P has grown about 5 times in the past 20 years, so buying SPY ETF and holding it without selling will make a huge profit. The housing price in San Jose, South Bay has increased by 2.3 times in the past 20 years. If you exclude condos and townhouses that have not increased much and only look at single-family houses, the increase is even more astonishing.
