The post with left-right contention seems to have been selected, thank you all for your attention.
I have just started applying this strategy in actual trading, and the effectiveness still needs to be tested over time. Previously, when I was exploring stock selection, I also encountered some pitfalls (such as 💩). However, the current model is basically confirmed. $Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLU.US)$ I have selected the following stocks as long-term holdings.
I have chosen the following stocks as long-term hold positions in my portfolio.
1. $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ Planned position is 10%, current position is only 2%, buy on dips, do not sell the bottom position.
2. $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$ Last night, the puzzle was solved. But I haven't been vigilant enough to watch the roller coaster in the second half of the night. Regarding the recent performance of the U.S. stocks, I have already given sufficient forward-looking in the review, basically verified, but there are still many puzzling places, the most puzzling one is $Meta Platforms (META.US)$ Choose one or buy both, plan total position is 10%, current position is 7% in meta, add positions on pullbacks (short covering with right hand), sell on resistance (short opening with right hand).
3. $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ Last night, the puzzle was solved. But I haven't been vigilant enough to watch the roller coaster in the second half of the night. Regarding the recent performance of the U.S. stocks, I have already given sufficient forward-looking in the review, basically verified, but there are still many puzzling places, the most puzzling one is $Apple (AAPL.US)$ Planned position is 10%, current position is 2%, both are Tesla. Plan to add positions on dips, do not sell the bottom position. Playing Tesla on short-term swings is better than playing Apple above 170.
4. $ASML Holding (ASML.US)$ In my understanding, it is a chip stock that is both offensive and defensive and has excellent defensive properties. Planned to hold 10%, currently at 5%. Half position, no matter whether it rises or falls, it is good for me.
5. $UnitedHealth (UNH.US)$ It is my favorite defensive stock, planning to hold 10%, and currently the left hand is already full with 10% position. Sell short on rallies with the right hand. But currently still bullish, but the position is already full, will not buy anymore.
6. $Procter & Gamble (PG.US)$ and $Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP.US)$ It is a defensive stock that I have been observing, and currently it is trapped. The original planned position was 10%, currently 8%. Today, after reconsidering, I feel that this thing is not aggressive, so there is no need to buy so much. Therefore, the maximum planned position has been reduced to 5%. Therefore, the current position is too high, and if there is an oversold rebound, I will sell opportunistically.
7. $McDonald's (MCD.US)$ It should be the originator of pre-cooked food.Planned position is 5%, currently increased to 4%. I don't believe weight loss pills will shake McDonald's, I think MCD has risen too much before, taking advantage of this excuse to pull back, still a long-term bull stock. When dining out, if you are afraid of assassins suddenly attacking your wallet, intestines, or taste buds, McDonald's stable prices, taste, and relatively reliable food safety should be the first choice, right? (the joke about ice cream assassins))
8. $FactSet Research Systems (FDS.US)$ 9. , as well as , ai concept growth stocks. Planning 10%, currently 5%.
9. $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ , $Unity Software (U.US)$ And $Snowflake (SNOW.US)$ , ai concept growth stocks. Planning 10%, currently 5%.
Energy stocks, including traditional and clean energy. But clean energy is currently not doing well, so I won't touch it for now. The plan is 10%, currently holding 6%. $Occidental Petroleum (OXY.US)$ 。
11. Flexibly adjust. This part is not well planned, so let's be flexible. Currently holding. $General Dynamics (GD.US)$ Bought 5% at the opening, just hit the previous high platform gap. I think it's rising too fast, so I did a day trade and took half the profit. If it retraces, I can add up to 10%. Also considering. $Northrop Grumman (NOC.US)$ , $Lockheed Martin (LMT.US)$ and $RTX Corp (RTX.US)$ Select stocks based on technical analysis.
$American Airlines (AAL.US)$ 12.8 cost, 5% position, dropped like a dog. Can only hold and wait for it to recover.
$Novo-Nordisk A/S (NVO.US)$ The weight loss pills are being hyped up, is there really such a magical tool? Let's buy a little bit and give it a try.
$Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ I only have a little bit, even though I don't feel too sorry for losing everything, but I was still deceived. But I think the drop is a bit drastic. Recently, I have noticed that there are more and more Rivian vehicles around, and the pickup trucks and large SUVs have a huge market in the USA. I still believe that they can succeed, and when the price stops falling, I will consider increasing my position.
Let's see how it performs before the end of the year.
Finally, I want to add:
The strategy of hedging is more reflected in the trading operations of buying and selling. Using the right-handed bearish thinking in trading to decide when to go short (sell) and when to go long (cover) can help me overcome many fears and greed. And the long-term bullish (left hand) can overcome my own shortsightedness.
