According to reports, this forum is one of the main forums of the 2024 Global Smart Education Conference. It was hosted by the Ministry of Education's Education Informatization Strategy Research Center (Beijing, Central China, Northwest China) and NetDragon to discuss national smart education strategies to strengthen SDG4 (United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education), digital transformation of regional and school education, construction and application of public digital learning platforms, and collaborative innovation mechanisms for regional smart education.
The most beautiful teaching resource particle - photosynthesis
The “Most Beautiful Teaching Resource Particles - Photosynthesis” released at this forum is a next-generation educational resource concept model launched by NetDragon in deep cooperation with the Shanghai Baoshan District Education Bureau. In recent years, the rapid development of technologies such as big data, metaverse, and artificial intelligence has provided a strong impetus for the intelligent transformation of educational resources. Artificial intelligence and learning science go both ways. The perfect combination of knowledge maps with AI models, learner models, and teaching strategy models has spawned a blowout in the next generation of intelligent transformation of educational resources. In this context, the “most beautiful particle” came into being.
Chen Changjie explained that “The Most Beautiful Particles” was developed by NetDragon's smart education product “Future Experiment” team using 3D education engine technology, AI automated production tools, etc., and received help from subject experts and first-line teachers to combine different perspectives to design story scenarios, emphasize the teaching needs of “interactive teaching and immersive learning”, and build a more universal teaching strategy model.

At the press conference, experts showed how the learners, under the guidance of an AI intelligent student partner from the “Future Lab”, step by step, unravel the mystery of photosynthesis. As the learning process progresses, AI intelligence partners will continuously provide clues, charts, data, etc. to find answers based on questions raised by learners, thereby helping learners explore step by step, and the microscopic world created using 3D resources comes to life, showing the natural magic of photosynthesis vividly and delicately. The entire particle resource is an intelligent body that accompanies the growth of students. It can present different forms according to students' characteristics, personality, and learning progress, promote suitable resources or tasks, and show the infinite possibilities of smart education, which was greatly praised by the guests present.

After the press conference, Zhang Zhi, director of the Shanghai Baoshan District Education Bureau, presided over a round-table discussion session.Professor Xue Gui of the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University; Yan Baiyang, Vice President of Shanghai Xingzhi Middle School; Zhang Chunlei, Associate Professor, School of Life Sciences, East China Normal UniversityCross-border discussions were held on “the most beautiful particles” and the future path of intelligent transformation of educational resources was discussed.
During the discussion, Professor Xue Gui believed that such teaching particles can help students form an organic knowledge system in the brain, disrupt traditional teaching models to a large extent, and make ideal learning that conforms to the rules of the brain a possibility. As a frontline teaching expert, Dr. Yan Baiyang believes that “the most beautiful particle” is interesting, flexible, efficient, and able to complete self-iteration. At the same time, he hopes that future production of educational resources can be intelligent, personalized, and automated based on computation and knowledge maps, and that every teacher can become a producer and user of intelligent resources. Professor Zhang Chunlei believes that the intelligent transformation of educational resources should have accessibility, portability, diversity and openness. He also emphasized the importance of integrated education in the future, and proposed that more learners should participate in the creation of resources.

Future experiments
According to reports, “Future Experiment” is a smart education product for K12 subjects. It changes the traditional “teaching and acceptance” education method, changing from learners passively receiving educational content to being “learner-centered”. Through interactive, explorable, and contextual forms of learning, knowledge points are made more intuitive, visual, and easy to understand, helping learners understand and grasp knowledge points more efficiently and independently. At the same time, with the help of AI, learners can also intelligently adjust learning progress and study plans to achieve personalized learning.

Chen Changjie explained that the “Most Beautiful Particles” released this time will further empower “future experiments” and enhance the effectiveness of education. For example, we use technologies such as XR, VR, AR, and MR to redefine the smart learning environment and create a more immersive teaching and learning experience. In addition, it is also possible to use data flow to obtain key data in different learning scenarios. Through data analysis, intelligent education decisions guided by big data can be truly realized, and further use technologies such as digital humans, 5G communication, edge computing, and AI automated production to break time and space limitations, improve the level of sharing of quality education resources, and contribute to educational fairness.
The teaching particles initially developed by the “Future Experiment” have now been successfully applied to the central library virtual experiment developed under the leadership of the Ministry of Education's Education Technology and Resources Development Center (Central Electronic Education Center). Currently, the project has covered 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions across the country, nearly 0.02 million primary and secondary schools, serving more than one million teachers and students, and has become a leader in the field of virtual experimental teaching applications.

Chen Changjie also said that in the future, NetDragon plans to use AI automated production technology to comprehensively upgrade the 1.4 million learning goals of the K12 stage, including key scientific concepts such as flame response, light transmission, and operation of the eight major planets. At the same time, it will establish a production rule library that supports AI recognition, automatically match different production methods according to the rules, and connect all production steps and processes. At that time, AI can automatically generate materials, automatically edit and merge according to user needs, and produce animated videos with 3D characters teaching.
According to reports, at the 2023 Global Smart Education Conference, NetDragon launched the future-oriented smart education service organization EDA for global learners, calling for global learners and educators to co-create and share educational resources to create a digital education ecosystem where “everyone can learn, learn everywhere, and learn anytime”. Chen Changjie said that “future experiments”, as an important part of EDA, will open up rich production materials to the outside world, provide resources, tools and processes, so that content creators, publishers, frontline teachers, etc. can join the “Future Experiment” to co-create, design long-term mechanisms, and take advantage of needs and effective integration in the education service process, thereby promoting the sharing of quality education resources and the development process of a learning society.
