The sharp rise in MYR has significantly reduced my assets profit

Since March this year, my investment in US market has made about 30% profit in USD term.

But… In fact I only earned about 4.5% profit in MYR term because of sharp MYR hike. Nevertheless I will keep investing in US stocks because there are many good opportunities and great companies in US market.

I don’t day trading and my tradings usually last for few weeks to months or years.

Strategy shifts in Q3

Market crash in last August gave me great opportunity to buy the dip of Magnificent stocks like $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ , $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ , $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ ,etc because I believe that AI future is still very promising.

I bought some consumer stocks ahead of Fed rate cut like $Restaurant Brands International (QSR.US)$ , $Norwegian Cruise (NCLH.US)$ , $Disney (DIS.US)$ ,etc because I believe that US consumers spending remain resilient despite of slowing economy.

Unexpected gains

$Futu Holdings Ltd (FUTU.US)$ is not a typical Chinese stock because its business is growing fast globally ( HK,US,Canada,Japan,Australia,Asean) and challenge many competitors around the world.

My Moomoo stock has gained about 53% so far thanks to China biggest stimulus plans last week.

Future tactics in Q4

$S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ keeps hitting new high and may lose upward momentum in the upcoming US election. I will spare more cash and be ready to buy the dip for possible pullback.

Be patient and buy stock within fair price….Study company before buy it….Must have plan and strategy in trading (know when to buy and sell)….Diversify the portfolio….Control the risk and size of positions
