The US recovers from losses, and the Dow surges above $500

On Thursday, Wall Street stocks recovered from yesterday's decline, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose more than 500 points.

At 12:23 p.m. (US Eastern Time), the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.30% (518 points).

International Business Machines led the rise by 6.01% in response to strong second-quarter financial results.

The S&P 500 stock price index rose 0.90%, and the Nasdaq 100 stock price index rose 0.71% (133 points), recovering from the worst session since 2022.

American Airlines, RTX Corporation, and Unilever Plc rose more than 6%, contributing to a bright market sentiment.

The euro rose 0.21% against the dollar and traded at 1.08645 at 12:24 (US Eastern Time).
