There is a possibility that the DAX will fall sharply on a weekly basis
The DAX fell 0.8% on Friday and traded near the 18200 level.
Germany's major stock indices are following the decline in European peers as traders are withdrawing from large high-tech stocks amid expectations for interest rate cuts and concerns about US trade restrictions with China.
Also, various services have been disrupted due to Microsoft's IT failure, and airlines, banks, and other industries have been affected.
Sartorius revised its full-year guidance downward, and there was a sharp decline of about 14%.
Deutsche Bank (-2.2%), Bayer (-2.1%), Porsche (-2.1%), and Merck (-2%) were also hit hard.
The DAX is down approximately 2.7% this week.
