TikTok Targets Spain, Ireland to Revive Europe E-Commerce Push

TikTok plans to launch its in-app shopping platform in Spain and Ireland by October, reviving its e-commerce business in Europe. The company aims to expand its reach while avoiding further scrutiny from EU authorities. The initial plan included launching in Spain, Germany, Italy, France, and Ireland, but was delayed to focus on the US market.

The US remains TikTok’s most important market, with 170 million monthly users, and the company plans to grow its US merchandise volume to $17.5 billion this year. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has stated he no longer plans to ban TikTok if elected.
