Today I talked to a group of colleagues about EV, they said they got no issues with EV as technologies already quite mature etc, the worries parts are batteries which should recharge in 3 min just like fuel top-up, also those Charing points or swap must be common on highways or everywhere, batt lifespan must be long then they will consider EV.
GoldDragon : BYD is offering 10 years battery warranty for some of their models. For land-scarce Singapore, I don't think we'll go for battery swap. Probably more rollout of charging stations at HDB carparks.
Avalanche95 GoldDragon : What if there are already oil companies in Singapore with battery swap technology?
TWP PaPa OP : I usually cross countries so quick charging points and quick swaps is really important.
73162089 GoldDragon : Singapore is more in needs of battery swap to save space and time, than charging piles.
bullbearnme : Hello I cannot see NIO on the road in Chna… I want to use my fingers to count but cant even see one
CoolWaterCoolWater bullbearnme : But I believe you can smell the burning smell of cash.
bullbearnme CoolWaterCoolWater : Nope , I think there is something wrong here. Where are all those delivered cars. I want to see myself and cant even find one
NOOB212 bullbearnme : The chinese are not that stupid i think. They know what car to buy lol
TWP PaPa OP bullbearnme : which part of China are you in?
JC Moo GoldDragon : What happens to the car after 10 year? Because I wouldn't want to buy a car that's only good for 10 years. One of my Toyota is pushing 20 next July. For how expensive the batteries are, it's almost about buying a new car.
