Tracking Tesla: A Historical Overview of Quarterly Vehicle Deliveries

Tesla said it produced 433,371 vehicles in the first quarter, down from 440,808 in the same period a year ago. Deliveries fell to 386,810, down from 422,875 in the same period last year.

The decline in volumes in Q1 partially due to early phase of production ramp of updated model 3 at fremont factory and factory shutdowns.

Analysts expected deliveries of 449,080 vehicles in the quarter. A collection of 30 predictions, compiled by Tesla's investor relations and distributed to a group of select investors over the past weekend, revealed that analysts had projected an average (mean) of 443,027 vehicle deliveries and a median expectation of 431,125 for the quarter.
