I am considering repositioning in a wild way - rather than considering consistent gains in what I would trade or invest usually…thinking next week of simply playing to see if I might 5x in the time frame without shorts, options or bond arbitrage.
whee!

If they’d exercise trades immediately, this would be much easier to do: day trade (since there’s no counter) the highly volatile, skimming before drops (or the instant you find a faster rise), and repurchasing when they find support.
And, even in real life, by the way? The cost makes absolutely no difference, provided I’m repurchasing more shares after each drop (so long as I’m growing that number, ‘til it’s time to start thinking about keeping ‘em long ~;-)

I hear you. I’m frustrated by not being able to use the tools I have learned thus far. Excited to play with other things.
And if trading garbage on the fly, short term, it’s anyone’s game. Sad to me, the lesson, though. Because it will always end as loss in the long run.
I guess I’ve a few suggestions for Moo2. Just, this is not teaching sustainable gains. Nor how anyone might behave with capital. Nor starting capital for most.
It’s cool. Have I time and it seems fun, I’ll maybe play this game of choosing garbage and getting out?
Nah. I’ll play with leveraged and options ETFs such that I can bear to share my trades, in full faith that no one who follows them will be absolutely wrecked. Nor lose all before they began.
I’m with the big guys on this one. Penny stock trading is a long term losing game.

Later, when I can afford to day trade endlessly? My laptop will be working, while I’m out watching my corn grow.
Selling what I bought yesterday, and buying it right back, is not a strike… couldn’t tell you how many times I,ve sold ASTS close to thirty, or made pennies per share on ACHR (which is now up to 1,417.76 shares, in addition to adding other shares). It’s also Q report season, so I’m hunting those earnings surprises.
It’s been working really well, building equity fast without unreasonable risk (even if not those record-setting gains that their paper trading comp requires), buUut… gotta get all my ducks in a row, such that the IRS can’t just pick ‘em off. (I had ACHR ready, in low cost covered-call-ready blocks of 100, ‘til I saw yet another opportunity to do it all over again ~;-)
It’s also been honing my skills; my feel, even, for more precisely when to trade. I could always play my best game of pool when there was money on the table, and I think it’s necessary here, too… when there’s thousands involved? I’m far less likely to make any mistakes.

Of course… calm/cool, under pressure. I’ve bet far more on a single game of pool than I have on ACHR; hopefully, it plays out better. (Instead of gaining me an equal partnership in a billiards company, it cost me that friendship.)

BelleWeather OP : Oh. And… so frustrated by Moo Moo’s fills. That’s a discount broker issue, I think I am discovering…
BelleWeather OP Dan’l : They are still charging fees in the game…

BelleWeather OP Dan’l : Absolutely same. I play best with skin in the game. (Including 9 Ball.)
