Former President Donald Trump's campaign has requested aircraft for the ex-president amid reports that Iran is still actively plotting to kill him, The Washington Post reported on Friday, citing emails and people familiar with the matter.

The atypical request for a candidate also includes more protection for his residence and rallies, pre-positioned ballistic glass in seven battleground states for campaign use, and an arsenal of military vehicles to transport Trump. The campaign has expressed discontent with the Secret Service and said it recently had to call off a public event at the last minute due to a "lack of personnel" by the Secret Service.

The report comes after Trump's campaign advisers received reports claiming that Iran is still actively plotting to kill him. It was also learned today that Trump's advisors are especially concerned about drones and missiles.
