Former President Donald Trump's company $Trump Media & Technology (DJT.US)$ soared more than 20% intraday Monday, extending a three-week rally that's seen the stock gain some 160% as Trump's presidential polling numbers rise.
DJT gained as much as 20.5% to a $30.47 intraday high Monday. All in, the stock was up 159.3% at the session's peak from the $11.75 near-time intraday bottom that it reached on Sept. 24.
Shares have been gaining ground as the Republican former president's polling numbers against Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris have likewise been improving.
Widely followed polling tracker RealClearPolitics.com showed Trump leading Harris by 0.4 percentage points on Monday in the average survey results for key "battleground" states that will likely decide next month's election. Harris had been leading Trump by 0.1 points as recently as Sept. 20.
The vice president's average lead over Trump in nationwide polls has also eased to 1.7% as of Monday, down from 2.2% on Sept. 22.
Meanwhile, betting firms gave Trump 54.1% average odds of winning the election vs. just 44.9% for Harris, according to RealClearPolitics.
Wall Street appears to believe that a Trump win will boost investor interest in Trump Media, which runs the former president's Truth Social social-media app and other conservative alternatives to the likes of Twitter/X and Facebook and Instagram, which are owned by $Meta Platforms (META.US)$.
DJT also announced Monday that it has rolled out a web-based version of its Truth+ TV streaming service.
"Our streaming rollout continues with the release of the web version of Truth+," CEO Devin Nunes said in a statement announcing the move. "As we expand the available programming, we are offering our viewers outstanding streaming features, family-friendly content, and ultra-fast delivery on our own content delivery network."
