TSMC Arizona Plant 1 trillion yen subsidy confirmed
“The US Department of Commerce announced on the 8th that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), the world leader in semiconductors, will pay a maximum subsidy of 6.6 billion dollars (about 1 trillion yen) to a new plant to be built in Arizona, USA. TSMC will set up a third plant to produce advanced semiconductors. The United States aims to build a semiconductor supply network that does not rely on China.” (Nikkei Shimbun)
