U.S. equities extended their winning run on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 posting gains for the eighth consecutive session. The S&P 500 gained almost 1.0%, closing just shy of 60 points from its all-time high in mid-July. The Nasdaq-100 gained over 1.3% as tech stocks made a comeback. Nvidia gained 4.4% while Tesla rose over 3.0%. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones gained over 230 points to close 0.6% higher.
