U.S. June Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index Falls, Economic Outlook Weakens

The expectation index, reflecting consumers' short-term outlook on U.S. business conditions, labor market, and personal/household income, fell to 73 in June, hovering near a ten-year low. Only 12.5% of surveyed consumers expected business conditions to improve in the next six months, the lowest proportion since 2011.
