U.S. May core PCE price index increased by 2.6%, the lowest in three years
The core PCE price index rose 0.1% month-on-month in May, the lowest since December 2023.
However, the data has mixed signals, with super core PCE prices remaining high, rising for the 49th consecutive month, and income and expenditure accelerating year-on-year growth.
Following the data release, the dollar index briefly fell about 14 points, U.S. stock futures had little short-term fluctuation, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield briefly fell.
