Arrayfunction : I would recommend you still be cautious on this one. It is good news as Trytosaveabit said. People have been working on this particular concept (AI reading ECGs) for well over a decade (back when AI was still more accurately called machine learning). The fact none of those have gone to market yet doesn't bode well for the product working.

The issue doesn't have anything to do with the modeling or math. It's the cost associated with trying to find (and paying for) multiple senior cardiologists to sit down and spend weeks or months reading thousands of ECGs and coming to complete agreement on what the tracings actually mean.

You can get away with only a single doctor's opinion for training data. But not validation data. ECGs aren't black and white and literally can be life or death, so it is a monster of a task to have it be proved safe enough to be put to use
