US, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and Hamas ask Hamas to resume talks next week

The leaders of the three countries acting as intermediaries issued a statement calling for Israel and Hamas to resume cease-fire talks in Doha or Cairo on 8/15.
The two cities have hosted cease-fire talks in the past, but they haven't reached an agreement for several months.
“Now is the time to sign a cease-fire agreement and release the hostages and prisoners,” the statement said.
Below is the full statement from the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.
The time has come to bring immediate relief to the long-suffering people of Gaza and the long-suffering hostages and their families.
The time has come to conclude an agreement on a cease-fire and the release of hostages and detainees. Our three countries and our team have worked tirelessly over many months to form a framework agreement.
The agreement is based on principles explained by President Biden on 2024/5/31 and approved by UN Security Council Resolution 2735. No more time can be wasted, and no further delay can be used by any party as an excuse.
It's time to release the hostages, begin a cease-fire, and put this agreement into action.
As a mediator, I am prepared to present a final bridging plan to resolve the remaining implementation issues in a form that meets the expectations of all parties, if necessary.
We called on both sides to resume emergency talks in Doha or Cairo on 8/15 (Thursday), resolve any remaining gaps, and begin implementation of the agreement without further delay.
US President Joe Biden
President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fatah El Sisi
Qatar's Chief Minister HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani
